Medical acupuncture is an evidence-based treatment used to relieve pain and support healing.

It involves the gentle stimulation of acupuncture points using sterile needles or laser, and is always provided at Clarity Medical by a fully trained doctor with expertise in diagnosis and holistic care.

Dr Angela Catanzariti is a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College with over 20 years of experience as a GP. She uses acupuncture as part of her integrative approach to managing musculoskeletal conditions, chronic pain, and the side effects of cancer treatment. Angela also mentors and examines students in the field of medical acupuncture.

What to expect

A full medical consultation is done before treatment. Most patients benefit from a series of weekly sessions (typically 6–10). Acupuncture promotes healing, reduces inflammation, and supports general well-being. Laser acupuncture is a gentle, pain-free option for patients who prefer a needle-free approach.
